ABOUT THE TEAM

Marketing is a core function within the newly restructured Kepak Meat Division. We are passionate foodies wanting to share the story, quality, and sustainable production of Irish meat with the world.  Kepak are looking for an energetic, creative-minded and Marketing Executive reporting directly to Head of Marketing and remain close to the Category Marketing Team.  As a small, albeit growing, team you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact. You will be exposed to – and have the chance to contribute towards – challenges and projects at all levels and in all areas of the business. You will assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to increase product and brand awareness.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working Relationships:

INTERNAL

  • Reporting Head of Marketing & PR, Kepak Meat Division.
  • Working closely with the wider Marketing, Sales, NPD, Procurement, Technical & Finance Teams.

 EXTERNAL

  • Key strategic partner agencies, including research, creative, packaging & print agencies.
  • Distributor Head Office teams and wider sales teams.
  • Key account customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Head of Marketing to protect brand integrity and ensure consistent branding across all aspects of the business.
  • Work in conjunction with Head of Marketing to manage relationships with 3rd Party marketing agencies. Completion of briefing documents for agencies, provide recommendations on design and content for brochures, pdf’s, communications, email, advertising, etc.
  • Customer support requirements including head office, sales team and customer presentations/meetings, attendance at key trade events, sharing of brand assets and fulfilment point of sale requests.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our UK/EU/ International sales team on implementing marketing campaignsto drive business growth, customer projects, meetings, and general brand support requests and marketing collateral.
  • Provide insight & trends for key customers that will drive their business forward and position Kepak as a thought leader.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the marketplace, our ideal customers, and how they relate to our products. Analyse data, product, and market trends to help develop strategies that maximise opportunities for the foodservice brands.
  • Providing administrative support to the Head of Marketing.
    • Set up processes for projects/ sub projects, setting clear objectives, resources, planning, budget and meetings.
    • Monitor project KPI’s and implement corrective action plans as required and report progress.
    • Management of marketing budget including ongoing tracking & reporting of spend.
    • Lead trade show planning, execution, and management. Working with external agencies and our internal sales and marketing teams to prepare and actualize the show critical path.
    • Some travel will be required mainly within the UK/ EU to attend team meeting, distributor/key account meetings, trade events and agency meetings.
    • Make a strong contribution to culture, process & ways of working within the marketing team in line with our goals to continually develop the marketing function in line with best practice.

 



SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree level qualification in marketing.
  • 2/3 years marketing experience, (Food /FMCG/Drinks sector experience a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills & highly numerate with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience.
  • Experience in new product development, packaging and print management desirable.
  • Team player with experience of working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong presentation skills including slide preparation and delivery of a convincing pitch.
  • Good inter-personal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on attitude. Ability to manage detail – to deliver ‘execution with excellence’.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
