Role Purpose

Promote McIntosh Donald brand and products to clients, negotiate contracts and pricing with the aim of maximising site profits and market share within region.

Role Requirements

·       Build customer base and brand by identifying and selling prospects, maintaining effective and profitable relationships with customers, and understanding their needs.

·       Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching, and analysing sales opportunities.

·       Selling products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospective customers, recommending products and solutions.

·       Maintain positive relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance on our products, researching, and recommending new opportunities, and recommending product improvements.

·       Identify and share feedback with colleagues for product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

·       Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising key market and customer information.

·       Maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge by working with production teams and educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

·       Maintain quality service by establishing and delivering best practice and ethical standards.

·       Contribute positively to team effort by accomplishing site targets and results.

·       Build good inter-departmental working relationships.

·       Present the product or service favourably and in a structured professional way.

·       Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with customers and internal management.

·       Liaise with production and distribution teams to check the progress of existing orders.

·       Record sales and order information, updating company systems as required.

·       Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations (online and in person events).

·       Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

·       Actively attend team meetings and share best practice, knowledge and insights with colleagues.

·       Liaise with other Red Meat sites and sales team, garnering information, sharing best practice and industry/customer knowledge.

·       Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.
