JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The QA team play a critical role in ensuring the required standards of Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene are met. You will be required to liaise with all production areas.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reporting to the Quality Manager
SHIFTS Rotating: 2 Shifts
Location: Poppintree, Dublin 11
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Inspection and testing of intermediate and finished product against agreed specifications and to an agreed schedule.
- Liaising with production to identify non-conformances, quarantining where necessary and instigating corrective action.
- Making decisions in a timely fashion on whether a process is still in control and reporting any deviation of standard of work or processing.
- Traceability and Paperwork Auditing.
- Temperature monitoring and verification.
- Hygiene Audit of appropriate personnel and factory floor.
- GMP auditing and instigating corrective actions on timely manner.
- Assist the Quality Manager in duties and tasks as and when required.
SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment (1 year).
- Knowledge of BRC standard & requirements.
- Knowledge of Raw material, intermediate and finished product desirable.
- Experience of GMP and temperature auditing/monitoring preferred.
- Experience of lean manufacturing would be a distinct advantage.
