We are currently looking to add a Quality Systems Co-Ordinator to our friendly and passionate team.

Purpose of the role:

Responsible for the management of Site Quality Assurance systems and ensuring that they meet Customer, Business, Legislative and relevant accreditation body standards.

Ensure the relevant food safety & quality standards are consistently achieved. 

Work with operations teams to ensure that relevant food safety & quality standards are consistently achieved in line with relevant standards and product specification requirements

The Quality Systems Manager role within the team at the Bodmin site heads up the technical systems and administrative functions providing a strong leadership focus.

Providing a key technical presence - liaising with internal, customer and supplier-based contacts at all levels – driving technical standards throughout the site.

Qualifications 

Good understanding of written & spoken English.

Listening & numeracy skills are also required.

A good standard of numeracy and literacy are essential.

Academic / Vocational qualifications GCSE in Maths & English.

Production of certificates is desirable but not essential.

Computer Literacy / I.C.T

Competent in the use of Word and Excel & Microsoft Office suite products is essential.

Level 3 in H.A.C.C.P

A requirement of the B.R.C and relevant customer standards in order to chair / lead the site’s H.A.C.C.P team.

Level 3 in Food Safety

A requirement of the customer base is that the management are trained to level 3 in food safety.

Quality Systems

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with a strong focus on food safety and quality within a manufacturing environment.

Customer Standards

A good working knowledge of customer codes of practice is advantageous

Main Responsibilities 

H.A.C.C.P / T.A.C.C.P / V.A.C.C.P Systems

To facilitate and advise the site teams in development, implementation, control, monitoring, verification, validation and review of the site’s H.A.C.C.P food safety system, T.A.C.C.P & V.A.C.C.P food defence systems.

In operation on a day-to-day basis a good understanding of practical H.A.C.C.P, T.A.C.C.P, V.A.C.C.P and their principles.

A sound understanding of site processes and standards is essential to ensure this is achieved.

Monitoring deviance and results from control points and critical control points to drive technical and food safety standards on site.

Strong communication skills and an innovative approach are required to drive standards forward and achieve the buy in of the relevant site teams.

Overseeing the activities of direct reports in association with their relevant job descriptions.

A good knowledge of the requirements of each role is required to ensure effective day-to-day running of the department.

Adhering to departmental strategy and enforcing departmental structure and reporting lines.

A strategic, forward thinking nature is required to ensure long term targets are set and met, working with the team to emphasise strengths and improve on any weaknesses.

To ensure all technically controlled & due diligence documentation for the site is created, maintained and distributed in line with site practices and protocols.

Requires an organised and structured approach with skills in delegation and co-ordination required.

Overseeing and managing the devising, implementation, enforcement and review of the content of all site food safety, quality related and due diligence documentation.

Good knowledge of the requirements of the site, its customer base and relevant governing legislation are required to ensure the content of the documentation are both correct and are of relevance.

Controlling the distribution and archiving process of site documents.

Working Times: 

Monday to Friday 

£30,000 per annum
