Job Title: Boning Hall Manager

Boning Hall Manager Job Purpose: Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Boning Hall Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, will be responsible for continuous improvement of production and materials operations. The Boning Hall Manager will be responsible for providing a safe work environment, positive work culture, consistent product quality and cost-effective operations. These will be achieved through excellent procedure compliance and improvement, employee engagement in personal development, multiskilling, problem solving and continuous process improvements. In addition they will be responsible for audit compliance; overseeing production in the  boning Hall, planning, quality control in the boning hall , maintenance in the boning hall, waste, direct labour and materials, whilst generating reports on these financial targets and other KPI’s

Boning Hall Manager Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the production of high quality products that meet specifications and expectations of the customer and satisfy ROI regulations.
  • Assure employees are working in a safe environment.
  • Maintain a consistent effort to operate the Boning Halls to the most efficient way possible to decrease expenses and increase revenues
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records/reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Achieving target KPI’s
  • Ensures that reporting boning hall supervisors maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees;
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and legal work environment; by adhering to Company policies and procedures
  • Develops and drives personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Manages teams absence and holidays
  • Annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements. Problem solving and team building.
  • Implement and maintain 5S to company standards
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices;
  • Accountable for meeting customer specifications
  • Accountable for audit compliance within the boning halls
  • Accountable for supervisor and team leader performance.
  • Managing waste disposal costs for the boning halls
  • Work Shoulder to shoulder with HR management to resolve worker problems, complaints or grievances
  • Ensuring that the developing and managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes/tasks undertaken by employees
  • Is pro-active in implementing lean initiatives and processes
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop employees to achieve established goals and improved performance
