JOB TITLE:  International Sales Manager

Location: Remote/Clonee

 

JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for the management and development the new and existing international market/s, including the development of new business, in line with the overall objectives of the Kepak Meat Division

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:  International Sales Director

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • In conjunction with the customer and KMD team, develop and execute a profitable business plan portraying KMD as a best in class proactive supplier.
  • Meet sales targets (targets to be set by the International Sales Director)
  • Sales follow up from start to finish (understand and follow the whole process)
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Ownership for all aspects of customer relationship with KMD
  • Account Planning
  • New Business Development:
  • The development of new profitable business and new product development through new or existing customers
  • Sales Forecasting and Forward Sales Planning in conjunction with Supply Chain
  • Sales Pricing:
  • Coordinate internally with various divisions within the group (Operations, Logistics, Technical, Sales Support)
  • Weekly Market reporting (provide relevant market, supplier, customer information)
  • Be active in the market (good understanding of the market, customers, competitors, visits to customers)
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) set by the International Sales Director
  • Revenue and margin targets – regular reporting
  • Forward sales planning targets in conjunction with Supply Chain

 

 

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  1. Teamwork: Good predisposition to work in a common project (within the division, other divisions and intercompany) prioritizing group to individual objectives, generating trust among teammates. Cooperative attitude and shared commitment are key. Learning how to share leadership or rely on someone who has the necessary experience is an important part of learning how to work with others.     
  2. Communication: The candidate needs to be an effective communicator. It is about having the ability to listen, be honest, open, empathetic and respectful.
  3. Flexibility: The candidate needs to be flexible not only with unexpected changes but with changes in our current work jobs.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Understand KMD capabilities
  • Technically adept, able to understand detailed technical information
  • Understanding and utilizing the systems that the group have in place (AX, Emydex, Prodiver, NLAF)
  • Understand Supply Chain from start to finish (Internal knowledge of the company is as valid as external customer knowledge)

 

 

Note: as with all positions, due to the nature of the business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time.  Travel within Ireland and the UK maybe necessary along with possible international travel.
