  1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To slaughter and dress a carcass to company specification

  1. POSITION IN ORGANISATION

Reports to: the Slaughter Hall Manager or Slaughter Hall Supervisor

 Liaise with: team members

  1. SCOPE OF JOB
  1. Slaughter Hall practices must be carried out as trained.
  2. Be aware of Health and Safety issues/ Quality and other policies and procedures.
  3. Ensure targets are met within deadlines without compromising quality.
  4. Work in compliance with Animal Welfare standards
  5. Regularly Cleaning work equipment and undertake extensive cleaning at the end of the day (Hygiene practices must be carried out as trained)
  6. Keep knives sharp and maintain working equipment.
  7. Knowledge of various stunning equipment would be an advantage but not essential.
  8. Be adaptable to changes in working procedure at short notice.
  9. Have a full understanding of all aspects of the slaughtering process.

 

Upon passed probation annual holiday increases from 28 to 31.
