Description

Position Scope: Works as a part of the IT team reporting to the Group IT Operations Manager

  • Key Role Responsibilities:

    • Engage as day-to-day interface with site providing support activities on critical applications and systems
    • Support and maintain Manufacturing Execution System & ERP software applications i.e. Movex/M3
    • Identify options to address problems or issues experienced on the production floor, define advantages and disadvantages of each option, and select from predefined solutions
    • Identify patterns in system issues and raise issues to Group Business systems manager and supplier / Infor (as appropriate)
    • Generate ideas to meet functional business objectives using group business system solutions
    • Work with Group IT to ensure proper execution of specifications and support implementation of IT projects
    • Develop cost estimates and business cases in support of projects
    • Test plans, test scripts and test conditions based on the Business and System Requirements
    • Provide 1st level day to day technical infrastructure support to a dynamic office and production environment.
    • Provide problem diagnosis, using appropriate support tools for hardware, software & in-house applications
    • Deliver outstanding customer service standards by answering all calls promptly, remaining courteous and professional always
    • Working as part of a larger group wide team, you will work to both individual and group targets.
    • Provide excellent customer technical support, you will strive for first call resolution with each case

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • Relevant ERP/MES application exposure – Movex/M3
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software
  • Excellent working knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems.
  • VMWare ESXi setup and administration
  • Veeam Backup and replication
  • WatchGuard firewall/VPN devices
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory administration skills, Microsoft Exchange, MS O365.
  • Strong networking capabilities – LAN and WAN
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to support and communicate with users on all levels.
  • Self-starter who uses own initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger team.
  • Ability to take ownership, organise workload and change priorities quickly.
  • On call rota outside normal work hours and weekends.
  • Preferred:
  • Third Level qualification in field of IT.
  • 6+ years of experience in a technical support environment required.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, and/or ITIL certification

Proposed Metrics and Accountabilities:

  • Site ‘up time’
  • System support KPI to be agreed
