Description

We are seeking Occupational Health Nurses to cover Longford, Athleague, Cavan, Ballybay, Dublin and Cork sites.

The primary role is health surveillance and management referr ls for the industry staff. This role will require compliance with company policies and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives.

Your new role will consist of but not limited to the below duties:

  • Ensure employee medical surveillances are completed as per the requirements of Occupational Health medical surveillance procedures and Irish and EU legislation.
  • Assess the results of the medical evaluations based on sound medical practice and an understanding of the work the employee performs.
  • Liaise with the Occupational Physician and external GP/ Occupational health clinics in the completion of pre-employment medicals.
  • Provide assessment and treatment of any workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Monitor employee absenteeism and complete absence reviews as required.
  • Coordinate return to work and rehabilitation of absent employees.
  • Liaise with EHS to ensure there are adequate levels of First Aiders trained to cover all work shifts.
  • Complete intoxicant screening as required.
  • Ensure employee medical records are maintained confidentially and stored in accordance with the requirements of the Records Retention Schedule
  • Travel to all sites regularly

Minimum Qualifications required:

• RGN on the active general register of the NMC

• Post-graduate qualification in Occupational Health desirable but not essential.

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in occupational health, including health screening is essential

• Have good organisational and administrative skills and an ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

• Committed to delivering a high-quality service

• Possess excellent I.T skills

• Possess a full driver’s license

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Strong team player

• Excellent communication skills

 

Purposed schedule

Work from home 4 days, site visit once a week.
