 Business Development Executive – Kepak Foods Division - North America

The Foods Division has been identified as a key growth area for Kepak over the next 3 years. The Business Development Executive position will be critical in delivering this growth.


The Business Development Executive will be required to gain a good understanding of the North American market and develop a customer base with a specific focus on the Kepak Foods Division portfolio. This position will involve developing strong relationships with key End-Users while identifying and working closely with the relevant Distributor partners.


An important aspect of this role will be scoping out the sales opportunity within the territory in line with Kepak strategic pillars, delivering tangible results and developing this business into a long-term sustainable model. This will require both an entrepreneurial and a structured approach in conjunction with the local Distributor partners. The Business Development Executive will need to be able to prioritise their time in an effective & efficient manner, in order to achieve the growth targets and maximise the return on investment for the business.


This position will be based in New York.





·        To achieve designated business targets & KPIs within your region.

·        To support the Business Development Manager with the overall business development objectives.

·        To identify key customer targets and develop a robust engagement plan to deliver.

·        To develop and utilise the distributor sales teams to ensure all opportunities are maximised.

·        To develop and successfully implement joint business plans for End-Users and Distributors.

·        To develop strong business relationships across your region.

·        To utilise all analytical tools and marketing support in order to help achieve the business objectives.

·        To ensure all End-Users’ requests are dealt with in an efficient manner.

·        To demonstrate all products to end users & distributors, high-lighting features and benefits.

·        To work closely with the internal Kepak stakeholders to ensure all business development initiatives are executed to the highest standard.

·       To gather and feedback market intelligence (e.g. competitor activity, etc.) on a regular basis.

  • A good commercial understanding of the business and market. Having the ability to make                                 decisions that will benefit the business.
  • An ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with key end users and distributors in order                          to drive sales for KFD.
  • An ability to influence the key decision makers within an organisation.
  • Good communication skills that will keep all parties informed as well as managing expectations                                      - both internally and externally.






  • Degree in Business Studies or similar discipline
  • Experience within foodservice sector is desirable
  • Field sales experience desirable
  • Computer literate
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
